ANIMALS in ACTION

If you are curious of animals, and how they move and live in their environment, then you will love “Animals in Action”. Students will explore their creativity, movement, and vocal dynamics, through identifying with the animals found in various environments, and developing them into characters. Students will present their creative understanding of animals in their environments through a devised performance.

SCENES IN THE WORKS

Scenes in the works provides a wonderful opportunity for students to develop their understanding of characters, their love for stories and plays, their team building skills, and their experience in Theatre. We will focus on the various elements of Theatre that are involved in developing a character through acting in a scene. Using creativity, movement and sound, students will perform in scenes that focus on themes of fantasy and reality, animals, toys and inanimate objects, and fairytales. Content will be adjusted for individual experience level.  All experience levels encouraged to attend.

Improv! Commedia Dell’ Arte to Perform!

Students will be introduced to Commedia Dell’ Arte, a Theatrical style that is both physical and non realistic. A style of slapstick comedy, incorporating well known characters with the use of masks. Through identifying with the characters seen in Commedia Dell’ Arte, and through developing an understanding of the use of masks in the style of Theatre, students will incorporate the elements of Commedia Dell’ Arte into short physical and comical performances.  The cost of the workshop is $ 115.
